On Tuesday 21st June, the Mega Millions Lottery could pay out a jackpot prize estimated to be some $333 million.
It's another Mega Millions Lottery jackpot rollover this week, as no ticket matched all the numbers on Friday night. By the time of the next draw at 11.00 p.m. Eastern time on Tuesday 21st June it's estimated that the jackpot will be worth around $333 million, which will equal a cash option of around $226 million after taxes.
Of course this and all the other big lotteries worldwide can now be played through services like The Lotter and Play Huge Lottos, where players pick their numbers and local agents actually buy the tickets on their behalf.
Playing The Mega Millions
For $1, players get to pick?6 numbers from?2 separate groups. The?5 main numbers are from 1 to 75, while a single number is picked from 1 to 15. For an extra $1, a Megaplier option is triggered, whereby the value of prizes below $50,000 can be multiplied several times over, and for the next draw on Tuesday a 5x multiplier will be in effect.
Jackpot winners can take the cash option, or have an immediate payout followed up with 29 annual instalments, with each one being increased by 5% to counter any rises in the cost of living.
Playing Online
Picking numbers through an online service is done in just the same way, and prizes are sent directly to the winners nominated bank accounts, although major wins can even be collected in person, which is easily?affordable if the winner?has just picked up over $300 million.
An important point to note is that tickets need to be bought by 10 p.m. on the night of the draws, and Eastern time is 5 hours behind U.K. time, or 6 hours behind much of Europe.
